The Fit’s tall subcompact body exudes an edgy and youthful character. Its styling can almost be described as avant garde. For that reason, it’s often referred to as a low-buck Mini Cooper. But some may see it as having an awkward presence, especially with its sawed-off rear-end.
From front to back it measures at a concise 157.4 inches. That’s about a foot shorter than the Nissan Versa, but about seven inches longer than the Toyota Yaris. All three competitors have virtually the same height and width dimensions. The Fit, however, seems to take on a somewhat more aerodynamic shape.
Weighing in at slightly more than 2400 pounds, the Fit, again, lands right in the middle of the heavier Versa and the more feathery Yaris. Its middle-of-the-road mass seems to be just right for a car this size. The Fit rides atop standard 14 inch wheels.
If you prefer a bit of athleticism to your ride, then upgrading to the Fit Sport model makes good sense. This eye-catching trim package offers an underbody aero kit, rear spoiler, fog lights, and 15-inch aluminum wheels. It takes the Fit up a notch with its more aggressive look.
